Storage shelves can improve the space utilization rate of warehouses and are widely used in logistics companies. Its safety must be the first factor to be considered when choosing to use warehouse shelves. If the purchased shelves are of unqualified quality or safety is not standardized, they may cause the shelves to collapse. Overweight or side-loading of items may also cause the shelves to overturn.
For storage shelves, these six safety rules must be kept in mind:
- Prevent overloading. The weight of each layer of goods stored shall not exceed the maximum load designed for the shelf.
- Prevent overheight and overwidth. The height and width of the shelves are limited. The size of the pallets and goods should be slightly smaller than the net space.
- Prevent collision. Forklifts should be handled and placed as lightly as possible during operation.
- Prevent top-heavy and light-footed. The principle of placing light goods on the upper floors and heavy goods on the lower floors should be followed.
- Prevent the use of non-standard pallets. The Sichuan-shaped bottom is the most suitable.
- When there are goods placed on the warehouse shelves, operators should try not to enter the bottom of the shelves directly.
Life is fragile and beautiful, and none of us can predict how serious the consequences of every accident will be.
Tragedy begins with accidents, and happiness starts with safety! Keep in mind the safety operating regulations and keep accidents away from us!
