A company specializing in providing omni-channel logistics supply chain services, has established a multi-level warehouse network system that includes both direct and franchised warehouses, including e-commerce warehouses, B2B warehouses and cloud distribution warehouses. In order to achieve the goal of full coverage of the distribution network to counties and townships within China, the company decided to introduce a number of more flexible and adaptable medium duty rack in warehouse to optimize storage efficiency and improve picking speed.
(3)Project Background:
The main service targets of the company include brand owners, distributors, offline stores and e-commerce platforms, etc. In order to better meet the special warehousing and distribution needs of different industries, such as beauty, daily chemicals, footwear and clothing, B2B warehousing and distribution, urban distribution and supply chain of prefabricated vegetables, it is necessary to introduce a batch of medium racking with greater flexibility and adaptability and higher economic efficiency.
(4)Project Objective:
①Increase warehouse storage capacity;
②Reduce commodity picking time;
③Realize the ability of rapid adjustment of warehouse layout.
(5)Solution:
The project uses fully assembled medium racking, with high quality cold rolled steel columns, two options of steel and wood shelves, 100kg load capacity per level, and butterfly holes for easy height adjustment. Butterfly holes are designed for easy height adjustment. The medium racking are designed to support quick assembly and disassembly to accommodate future warehouse expansion or layout changes.
(6)Effect:
①Medium racking successfully increased storage capacity by 35%;
②Due to the partition design, goods can be placed directly on the flat surface, making it easy to access them from the front of the shelves, improving picking efficiency and significantly reducing order processing time;
③The partitions can be easily adjusted in height and position according to the size of the stored items, adapting to diversified storage needs;
④The total cost of the medium racking is in line with expectations, and the investment is expected to be recovered within one year by improving operational efficiency.
