Generally speaking, they are divided according to the load-bearing capacity: light shelves (100~300kg), medium shelves (300~1000kg), heavy shelves (1000~1500kg); low shelves (below 5m), high shelves (5~12m), and super high shelves (above 12m).

Light shelves generally have a smaller load-bearing capacity and are suitable for storing lightweight, small, and bulk items, such as spare parts, stationery, and clothing. Light shelves are generally made of cold-rolled steel plates, with simple structures, easy installation, and relatively low prices. The load-bearing range of light shelves is between 100~300kg per layer.

Medium shelves have a larger load-bearing capacity than light shelves and are suitable for storing medium-weight items, such as mechanical parts, electronic components, hardware tools, etc. Medium shelves are generally made of cold-rolled steel plates or hot-rolled steel plates, and their structures are more complex than light shelves, requiring professional installers to install. The load-bearing range of medium shelves is between 300~1000kg per layer.

Heavy-duty shelves have the largest load-bearing capacity and are suitable for storing heavy items, such as auto parts, heavy machinery, steel, etc. Heavy-duty shelves are generally made of thick steel plates, with complex structures, requiring professional installers to install, and are relatively expensive. The load-bearing range of heavy-duty shelves is between 1000~1500kg per layer.
