Shuttle rack system is a high-density storage system composed of racks, trolleys and forklifts. Trolleys are shuttles.

The types of shuttles are as follows
Mother-Child-Shuttle
01

Mother-child shuttle

It is mainly composed of a horizontal child shuttle and a longitudinal mother shuttle and its tracks. It can be used with reciprocating elevators, layer-changing elevators, outbound conveyor lines, inbound conveyor lines, and computer control systems.

working principle

During work, the mother car of the mother-child shuttle pulls a series of child cars on the main road of the warehouse. When it reaches a specific branch road, the child car can be automatically released and then autonomously run to the branch road for operation. The mother car continues to move forward in this process, which saves a lot of time invisibly and greatly speeds up the operation.

02

Four-way shuttle

It refers to a storage robot that can shuttle in four directions (front, back, left, and right) in a plane, mainly different from the traditional two-way shuttle (forward and backward).

Four-Way-Shuttle

working principle

In terms of working principle, the four-way shuttle generally has two sets of wheel systems, one for X direction and the other for Y direction. The trolley runs on the track and encounters a turn by replacing the wheel system. Therefore, the direction of the cargo unit remains unchanged during the entire operation time. When the trolley needs to change floors, most of them are completed by the elevator outside the lane. After the trolley automatically enters the elevator, the elevator is lifted to the required floor, and the floor change is completed.

General shuttle technical parameters (for reference)

Load

1000~1500kg

Running speed

0.7-0.9 m/s when empty

Running speed

0.6-0.8 m/s when fully loaded

Rated voltage

24V

Battery life

Normal use time is more than 8 hours

Sensing range

The sensing range of the remote control is 50 meters (theoretically 100 meters, up to 200 meters, but depends on the on-site environment)
